Software and licences

Our software is sold on a try-before-you-buy basis, and that is deliberate. Every feature is available during the free trial, nothing is held back, and no registration is needed to unlock it. The idea is that you satisfy yourself the software does what you need on your own equipment, in your own way of working, before any money changes hands.

Because of that, once a licence has been registered and activated we are not able to offer a refund. We would much rather you took as long as you need over the trial than bought something that turns out not to suit you, and our support team are there to help you during the trial just as they are after a purchase — ask them anything while you are evaluating.

There is one exception. If, within 30 days of buying, a genuine technical fault or an incompatibility with your system means the software simply will not run, get in touch. We may issue a refund at our discretion. We will need enough detail to identify the purchase — your order number, the date, and the licence key — and written confirmation that the software has been removed from your equipment.

Goods and accessories

Anything physical can be cancelled at any time up to 14 days after the day it is delivered, and you do not have to give a reason. A short note about what did not suit is always welcome and helps us improve, but it is not required.

Once you have cancelled, the goods need to come back to us within 14 days, in their original packaging and packed well enough to survive the journey. Return postage is at your own expense. You are welcome to examine an item as you would in a shop, but anything that has already been installed cannot be returned unless it is faulty.

When a refund is due we will return everything you paid us, including the original postage, within 30 days.

Things that cannot be cancelled

Some items are made specifically for you and cannot be resold, so they fall outside the cancellation terms above. That covers anything custom made or made to your own design or specification — printed and cut panels, skins and wraps, and artwork produced to your brief.

If you are not certain whether something you are ordering is custom made, ask us before you order and we will tell you plainly.

If something arrives faulty or damaged

Let us know as soon as you can, by email or in writing, with a description of the problem and a photograph of it. A photograph usually saves you having to send the item back for inspection, and lets us get a replacement moving sooner.

Anything that arrives damaged, or an order with something missing from it, should be reported within two working days of delivery so we can take it up with the carrier while there is still time to do so.

Goods are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for six months. That guarantee sits on top of your statutory rights rather than replacing them. It does not cover damage caused by tampering, unauthorised repairs or modification, misuse, or connection to incompatible equipment.

Trade and business customers

Orders placed by businesses are not covered by the consumer cancellation rights above. Business orders can only be cancelled by mutual agreement confirmed in writing, and a cancellation or restocking charge may apply. Claims for missing or damaged items still need to reach us within two working days of delivery.

How to start a return

To cancel an order, write to us at the postal address below. We are not able to accept cancellations by telephone or by email — a written notice gives both of us a clear record of the date, which matters when the 14 days are being counted.

For a faulty or damaged item, or if you are simply not sure what applies to your order, the quickest route is to raise a ticket and we will take it from there.

Your legal rights

None of the above affects the rights the law gives you — for example where goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for the purpose they were sold for. The full detail sits in our terms and conditions, which these notes summarise in plainer language; where the two differ, the terms and conditions are what apply.
