Remote Control lets you view and fully operate a booth’s screen from your Dashboard – mouse and keyboard included – without being physically at the machine.
Where to find it
A Remote Control button appears on that licence’s row in both Your Licences and the main Dashboard page – but only when both of these are true:
- The machine is currently online
- It’s running Booth Junkie v10.0.0.0 or newer
If either isn’t true, the button simply doesn’t appear – there’s nothing to turn on separately.
What you see and can do
Clicking it opens a live view of that booth’s screen, with the machine name in the title bar and a connection-quality readout (bitrate, frame rate, and packet loss) so you can tell a genuinely poor connection from a booth that’s just idle. Quality and FPS let you trade sharpness for responsiveness on a slow connection, and Fullscreen expands the view.
This isn’t a read-only preview – your mouse clicks and keyboard input are sent straight to the booth, the same as if you were standing in front of it. Use it to check on an event remotely, fix a setting, or troubleshoot a frozen screen without needing someone on-site to do it for you.
The booth shows when it’s being watched
The moment you connect, that booth’s own screen shows a caution-striped border with a message identifying that its operator is currently viewing it – it appears whether you’ve taken control yet or you’re just looking, and it’s visible to anyone standing at the booth, not just you. There’s no separate approval step to click through first – as the account owner, connecting is enough – but the on-screen border means it’s never invisible to whoever’s at the machine.
