Most clients ask the same question at the end of the night: where are the photos? With cloud uploads switched on, the answer is that they are already there. Every photo is uploaded as it is taken, so the folder fills up through the evening rather than after someone has gone home and copied files off the booth.
It also means the event is backed up while it happens. A booth that is damaged or stolen on the way home does not take the only copy of the photos with it.
Dropbox and Google Drive
Connect your own account from the Sharing tab in the Admin Panel, and event photos go straight into it. Nothing passes through a third party’s storage that you would then have to download again, and a shared folder can go to the client the moment the event starts if they want to watch it fill.
FTP, to a server of your own
For operators with their own hosting, FTP upload queues every image to your server — for your own backup, for an archive, or for handing the client their copies from somewhere you control.
The whole event on a USB stick
Some clients simply want a stick in their hand before you leave. Booth Junkie copies the whole event to a USB stick from inside the software, in its own folder and ready to hand over, without closing the booth down to find the files by hand.
Nothing lost when the connection drops
Cloud uploads do not need a connection at the event. Every file goes into the Upload Queue: online, it uploads straight away; offline, it waits and uploads the moment the booth is connected again. Failures retry automatically, and anything that genuinely cannot be sent is listed with the real reason rather than disappearing. Understanding the Upload Queue covers it in detail.
