Choosing a format

Templates are organised by the shape of the print and by how many photos it holds.

Singleshot layouts place one photo on the print. Multishot layouts combine several photos from the same session into a single print. Strip layouts are the classic tall photo strip, printed at 2×6.

Within those, Landscape and Portrait refer to the orientation of the photographs, not the print. A portrait strip holds upright photos stacked down the strip; a landscape strip holds wide photos. Both print at the same size. It is worth checking this against how your booth is set up, since a booth shooting in portrait needs portrait templates.

File specifications

Full-print templates are 2592 × 1728 pixels in landscape or 1728 × 2592 in portrait — a 3:2 ratio, which means one template prints correctly at 6×4, 8×6 or any other 3:2 paper size. Strips are 2592 × 864.

Alongside the artwork, each download carries a template.xml file defining the position and size of every photo window, so Booth Junkie places guests' photos correctly without any setup.

Editing templates

Templates are not locked. The PNG opens in any image editor, so you can add a client's logo, change colours or rework the artwork entirely before an event. Inside Booth Junkie you can also resize, rotate and reposition the photo windows themselves — and the template editor in v10 works much more like a conventional design tool than the editor in earlier versions.

Templates install from the downloads screen inside Booth Junkie rather than from this website. Browse here to see how a design looks, then add it from the software.

Downloads are part of Booth Junkie Premium. Every licence is a Lifetime Licence and includes 12 months of Premium, which also covers SMS, WhatsApp and email sending, FTP upload, updates and support. If Premium lapses the software carries on working and the licence stays valid — only the Premium features pause until it is renewed.
