What needs an active Premium
- Installing templates from the Template Library. Anyone can press Template library on Admin Panel → Print Layout and browse the templates, but installing one needs an active Premium. Without it, the tiles show 🔒 Premium and Use this template can’t be pressed. See Using the Template Library.
- Printing a Template Library layout’s own artwork. A layout installed from the library prints its Background, Overlay1 and Overlay2 artwork only while Premium is active. Its text, photos, Signature and Gallery QR code are never affected. Layouts you built yourself, or imported from a ZIP that didn’t come from the library, aren’t affected either. A library layout saved with Export ZIP still counts as a library layout wherever it’s imported.
- Booth Junkie’s ready-made AI styles in the Style Library, which you open from Configure AI Processing. Your own prompts and My Presets aren’t affected. AI processing itself uses AI credits, and your balance shows as AI credit balance under Admin Panel → Options → General.
- WhatsApp sharing.
- Texts sent through Booth Junkie’s own SMS service, and email sent through Booth Junkie’s own mail server.
Premium also covers FTP upload, template and animation downloads from the Catalogue, software updates, and support.
Check your Premium
Go to Admin Panel → Options → General. The licence details include two lines about Premium:

If these lines show Unknown, or haven’t caught up with a renewal, restart Booth Junkie with the PC connected to the internet.
Renew Premium
There’s no renew button in the software itself.

Go to Your Licences on your account Dashboard.

Press Renew on that machine’s row.
What happens when Premium ends
Booth Junkie keeps working and your licence stays valid. Only the Premium features stop:
- Template Library artwork prints as plain white. A library layout’s Background, Overlay1 and Overlay2 turn white on the print, on the booth’s preview and in the Print Layout editor. When the Admin Panel opens, a Premium has expired box names the affected layout and suggests choosing a different layout on the Print Layout tab, or renewing Premium. The artwork comes back by itself once Premium is renewed, with nothing to download again.
- You can still browse the Template Library, but you can’t install from it.
- WhatsApp messages, and texts and emails sent through Booth Junkie’s own services, aren’t sent. The guest doesn’t receive them. Each one shows as an Error in the Upload Queue, with “Premium subscription has expired” in its message. It’s retried automatically, and marked Failed after five attempts. - No new or updated ready-made styles reach the Style Library.
Premium: After you renew
Once Premium is renewed, press Retry on any Failed item in the Upload Queue to send it.
If the Style Library is empty and says “Couldn’t load style presets — check your internet connection.”, check that Premium is active as well as the internet connection.
