Photo booth software you pay for once
Booth Junkie is photo booth software for Windows, and it has been supplying the photo booth industry for 10 years. It is sold as a Lifetime Licence, bought once for the PC inside your booth. There is no monthly or yearly fee to keep it running, and the licence does not expire.
That one purchase covers the whole booth: the camera, the touchscreen guests use, the print layout, the printer, and sending the photos to guests. Green screen, compositing and print design are part of it from the first day, not extras on a higher plan.
What the twelve months of Premium add
Every licence comes with twelve months of Premium, starting the day you buy. Premium is the part that gets photos off the booth and keeps the software moving forward:
- WhatsApp, SMS and email delivery to guests
- The online event gallery
- Google Drive, Dropbox and FTP uploads through the Upload Queue
- New templates and animations from the Content Catalogue
- Software updates, with remote support
WhatsApp and SMS are never charged per message, so a busy event does not turn into a bill afterwards. The features page sets out exactly what is Standard and what is Premium.
When the twelve months end
Nothing stops. The licence stays valid, the software keeps running, and a licensed machine never goes back to watermarking your photos. The booth still captures, designs and prints exactly as it did the day before.
The Premium features pause until you renew. You can renew whenever it suits you, for example ahead of a busy season, or carry on without Premium for as long as you like.
How updates work
Software updates are part of Premium. You can install and run any version that was released while your Premium was active. If you renew later, you can move straight up to the latest version, including everything released while Premium was paused.
So the version you are running never stops working. Renewing is how you get what has been released since.
Why it suits a booth business
Booth work is seasonal. Wedding season, Christmas parties and corporate events come in waves, and most operators have quiet months in between.
With a one-time purchase, the software costs the same whether you take one booking this month or twenty. A quiet winter costs you nothing, and a busy summer does not raise your overheads. You know what the software has cost you from the day you buy it, which makes pricing a job simpler.

Questions people ask
Is Booth Junkie a subscription?
No. The licence is bought once and does not expire. Premium is included for the first twelve months, and renewing it is optional.
Do I have to renew Premium?
No. The booth keeps capturing, designing and printing without it. You would renew to send photos by WhatsApp, SMS or email, use the online gallery and cloud uploads, get new templates and animations, and install newer versions.
Will my photos be watermarked if Premium runs out?
No. The watermark only appears on machines without a licence. Once a machine is licensed, it is gone for good, whether Premium is active or not.
Is anything charged per event or per message?
No. There is no per-event charge, and WhatsApp and SMS are not charged per message. The exception is optional: if you want SMS from your own sender name or with your own wording, you connect your own Twilio account and Twilio charges you for those messages. AI effects also draw on AI Credits from your account.
How many booths does one licence cover?
A licence is for one machine. Each booth PC you run needs its own licence.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. The free trial runs for 30 days with every Premium feature switched on. Photos carry a watermark until the machine is licensed, and the trial is not licensed for live or commercial events, so use it to prove your setup rather than to cover a booking.
Try it on your own booth
The quickest way to know whether it suits you is to run it on your own camera, printer and templates. Download the 30 day trial, or read more about the photo booth software for Windows and magic mirror booths.
