The Draw step lets guests doodle on their photo and add emoji stickers before it’s shared or printed – a fun, personal touch that’s quick to set up.
Adding it to a workflow
Go to Admin Panel -> Workflows, choose the workflow you want to edit (Main, Singleshot, Multishot, or Strip Print), find a spare row, and set its Type to Draw. Drag rows to reorder them if you want Draw to happen at a different point in the sequence.
Setting up colours
Admin Panel -> Drawing has six colour swatches – click any swatch to open a colour picker and choose what’s available to guests.
Setting up emoji stickers
Every image in your Pictures/emoticons/BoothJunkie_emoji folder appears here as a toggle; only the ones you switch on are offered to guests.
Preview while drawing: two different modes
With Preview while drawing switched on, guests draw directly on top of their actual composited photo (background, frame, and their picture all together) – what they see is what they’ll get.
With it switched off, guests instead see a plain drawing pad with no photo, sized to match the Signature area of your current Print Layout template. This only works if your template actually has a Signature area defined – if it doesn’t, the guest’s drawing won’t appear anywhere on the final photo. Check your Print Layout template before turning this off.
What guests can do
- Draw with a finger, stylus, or mouse in any of your six colours, in three fixed brush sizes (small, medium, large)
- Every stroke has a soft glowing outline automatically – there’s no separate toggle for this, it’s just how drawing looks
- Drag emoji onto the canvas from the palette along the bottom (up to 30 at once); on a touchscreen, pinch to resize or rotate a sticker; drag any sticker off the edge of the canvas to remove it
- There’s no eraser or “clear all” – mistakes are undone with the Undo button (or redone with Redo)
Tapping Finished immediately moves on to the next step – there’s no “are you sure?” prompt, so once it’s tapped, the drawing is final.
